AC Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced AC Technician to join our growing HVAC service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems for residential and commercial clients across Colombo and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

1. Install, service, and repair various types of air conditioning systems (split units, central AC, window units, VRF systems)
2. Conduct routine maintenance and preventive service calls
3. Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC equipment
4. Perform refrigerant leak detection and repair
5. Clean and replace filters, coils, and other system components
6. Test system performance and ensure optimal efficiency
7. Provide technical support and recommendations to customers
8. Maintain accurate service records and documentation
9. Follow safety protocols and industry standards
10. Handle emergency service calls when required

Required Qualifications

1. Technical diploma or certificate in HVAC, Refrigeration, or related field
2. Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in AC installation and repair
3. Valid driving license (preferred)
4. Knowledge of refrigeration cycles and electrical systems
5. Familiarity with R-410A, R-32, and other refrigerant types
6. Understanding of electrical troubleshooting and basic electronics

Technical Skills Required

1. Proficiency with HVAC tools and equipment (manifold gauges, vacuum pumps, leak detectors)
2. Ability to read technical diagrams and service manuals
3. Knowledge of safety procedures for handling refrigerants
4. Basic welding and brazing skills
5. Understanding of electrical circuits and controls
